So, do you want to own Teresa Giudice’s wedding ring, or perhaps her pool table, grand piano or snowblower?
Here’s your chance. Fans of the hit TV show “Real Housewives of New Jersey” now have a chance to own some of diva Teresa Giudice’s belongings.
The star of the Bravo show that features housewives from New Jersey has been ordered to auction off various collectibles and valuables to help pay off her debts.
In June, a trustee for the Giudices’ bankruptcy case alleged in court documents that the spendaholic and her husband, Joe, had hidden assets, including profits from her book “Skinny Italian” and his stake in a pizzeria, which was also featured on the reality show, according to an article on CNN.
The trustee also accused the pair of undervaluing items listed as personal property exempt from the bankruptcy filing, including a pool table ($1,000) and their wedding bands ($400).
Now, those items and more will go up for auction to help pay off the couple’s nearly $11m debt.
The auction is scheduled for noon (EST) Aug. 22 at the couple’s Towaco, NJ, mansion. The lender has moved to foreclose on the $1.8m, 10,500-square-foot, eight-bedroom, 5½-bath property. Banks have already repossessed three other Giudice homes, according to the New York Post.
According to People Magazine, Teresa and Joe blame a downturn in the economy, which took their annual income from $575,000 in 2008 to just $79,000 last year. That figure includes Teresa Giudice’s income from the reality show and her husband’s income from a stone and stucco company.
